We came home and comforted one another. We grieved but never as a family without hope. We have a phrase that we live by. We don't call blessings curses and we don’t call curses blessings. Matthias was a blessing!
He lives more today than I do, he stands before the face of God.
We survived the weekend. It was Easter Sunday and I was aware that we had been through an amazing experience together, the life of Matthias, but we were not fully together; we were without our daughter. Her homecoming was like no other and we spent much time telling her what had happened and then gave her to only chance she would have to hold Matthias.
